Wednesday (15-08-12) will see south Munster and east Leinster hit hard by gale to strong gale force easterly winds.
According to Met Éireann there will be
“Frequent spells of rain will result in accumulations of 30 to 50 mm generally, with higher totals possible in mountainous areas. The will be a high risk of coastal and river flooding”.
Please ensure
Everything is tied down and all covers are secure, particularly on roofs. Please ensure that you do a check on the roof of your building for debris or anything that can become air born.
Although recent rain has ensured that drains are relatively clear, high winds could cause debris to be lodged in those drains, causing a blockage. If a blockage occurs, that will create a problem when the heavy rain falls.

Finally, don’t forget to snap up a pair of wellies at your local store. They are sure to be in short supply with the Electric Picnic Music festival beginning in a few weeks. |
