HVAC jobs and training

Rest assured, full training and mentoring will be provided through a blend of on and off the job education, appropriate to the role you are applying for.

Fully certified training will be provided by industry leading third parties, who possess extensive knowledge in their subject field and who have a proven track record of candidate success.

Mentoring is provided from senior staff, no matter which role you are applying for, helping you get up to speed on the Thermodial way, while also ensuring you are never left in position beyond your capabilities.

Further training is provided as you develop in your role, to grow your skillset, refresh your knowledge and enhance your problem solving capabilities.

These HVAC jobs are field based throughout Leinster, however, as Thermodial have a wide geographical spread of customers, every effort will be made to schedule jobs close to your home base. This not only aids Thermodial in achieving customer response times and satisfaction ratings, but it also reduces company greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with our energy management system – ISO 50001.

HVAC Service Engineer
Current job status: open

Thermodial invite applications for the role of HVAC Service Engineer to join our expanding field team.

In your HVAC job, you will report to the Operations Manager, co-ordinating with the Scheduling Manager and working closely with contracts managers.

This role comprises of three key areas

Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) service, repairs and minor upgrade works to HVAC systems.

Communication and co-ordination with customers, Thermodial’s Scheduling Manager, contracts managers and fellow field operatives.

Adherence to plans, specifications and procedures, ensuring visits are completed on time, in-line with best practice, producing fully completed reports and quotations (where necessary).

Your qualifications and key criteria

At least three years’ experience in a commercial HVAC services role.

Solas/national craft certificate/trade cert in either electrical, plumbing or refrigeration and air conditioning is essential.

Registered gas installer.

F-Gas certification.

Proven experience in fault finding and problem solving on HVAC systems.

A self-starter who can self-manage and take accountability for allocated tasks within a weekly schedule.

Highly trustworthy and responsible, due to the criticality and sensitive nature of customers’ businesses.

Enthusiastic about customer care, seeking to provide a first time fix to repairs and a reduction in energy savings for customers.

A willingness to up-skill, come out of your comfort zone and learn about other systems.

Ability to work across relevant internal departments including, operations, finance, sales, marketing, compliance and external suppliers to ensure a collaborative approach.

‘B’ category driving license, as this is a field-based role.

Good presentation and interpersonal skills.

Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Two verifiable references are required.

Trades person

Thermodial invite applications from trades persons with a qualification as a plumber, electrician or refrigeration and air conditioning, to apply for the role HVAC Service Engineer to join our expanding field team.

In your HVAC job, trades persons will commit to additional training – provided by Thermodial – in areas such as: gas safety and F-Gas, to achieve HVAC Service Engineer status.

Thermodial invite applications for the role of Apprentice to join our expanding field team.

Your apprentice training will blend on-the-job shadowing and learning from HVAC Service Engineers, coupled with off-the-job college phases, as dictated by Solas.

Once your apprenticeship has been completed, additional training will be provided by Thermodial – in areas such as: gas safety and F-Gas – to achieve HVAC Service Engineer status.

In your job, you will report to the Apprentice Supervisor, co-ordinating with the Scheduling Manager and working closely with service engineers.

This role comprises of three key areas

Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) service, repairs and minor upgrade works to HVAC systems.

Communication and co-ordination with customers, Thermodial’s Apprentice Supervisor, Scheduling Manager, contracts managers and fellow field operatives.

Adherence to plans, specifications and procedures, ensuring visits are completed on time, in-line with best practice, producing fully completed reports and quotations (where necessary).
